We are excited to introduce you to our newest artist, Zak Collins. Zak began taking pictures during an extremely difficult and transformative time in his life. He says he was hyper-focused as a coping mechanism for grief. This focus stirred a dormant creative instinct, which eventually gave way to a new sense of balance.
Today Zak takes a reductionist approach to his subject matter. He almost exclusively photographs southern landscapes, including coastal and wetland regions. He eliminates anything that is nonessential from the composition so that the viewer can focus on the subject matter. We are happy to welcome Zak to the Art Mecca, and we invite you to stop by and see his beautiful new work. Comments are closed.
