Artist Bio: Heather is a born Mississippian but has been a bit of a traveler throughout her life. Due to military experiences, deployments and having a military spouse, different states and countries have influenced her art.
While in college for Recreation Therapy her first relevant job in art was for a ceramic studio. She hand painted Mardi Gras masks for the French Quarter of New Orleans.
Her last and longest home ever was in Colonial Williamsburg, at which time propelled her to start creating full time. Along with blogging about her creations, she painted faux finishes and designs on just about anything including furniture and kitchen counters. She was a member of a local gallery where she was awarded merit for a painting in Southern Art - Mississippi Silos.
Nearly three years ago her family chose Summerville, South Carolina, as their new home. They like to enrich themselves in the beauty and history that Charleston area has to offer.
Currently, Heather creates custom murals and canvas paintings. You can also find her on a night out as a teaching artist for a local recreation painting party company.
