Lyssa Harvey
Lyssa Harvey Ed.S, is a Teacher, Therapist and Artist. She is from
Columbia, SC and is the owner of The Art and Play Therapy Center of South
Carolina.
Lyssa is a painter of South Carolina waterscapes. Her work in water media,
pastels, mixed media and handmade paper often portray colorful, energetic
landscapes, with bold, soulful arrangements on paper and canvas. Some of
her other series of paintings featured in galleries and on her website include
50 Shades of Blue, Hot Beach, Swimming in the Sea of Awe, Gratitude, Freedom,
and Essence.
Lyssa says “Creating art feels spiritual. Maybe it’s my soul talking”. It’s a joy to
create balance and beauty with colors on canvas and paper! It’s my time to
play.” As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Art and Play Therapist she
facilitates healing in women and children encouraging them to find balance,
purpose and joy. Her work is to help others develop a sense of well-being in
their life.
Lyssa’s paintings have been shown in galleries in South Carolina and in many
private collections in the Southeast. She is known for her Judaica Art which
has sold throughout the States and in synagogue private collections. She is a
Signature Member Artist of the South Carolina Watermedia Society.
