Scott Partridge

Artist Bio: I was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1973, The path to my current home in Charlotte, North Carolina has taken me through Maine, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. I work in both traditional and digital media. My imagery, whether highly abstracted or representative, is largely drawn from the natural world, with biomorphic shapes and living things predominant. I count among my influences such artists as Miro, and the surrealists, as well as natural history illustrators such as John James Audubon and Charley Harper. My decorative works are designed primarily on a computer, although frequently a combination of methods finds its way into the final product. Typically I print the image in color and decoupage it onto a panel, often clear coating the print as a final step.
