Artist Bio:
Tate Ellington is a Savannah local mom and illustrator. Growing up around Savannah and Tybee, she has always been inspired by the historical landmarks and southern coastal living. While working in a classroom as a teacher’s assistant, Tate became influenced by children’s illustrated books and taught herself to paint with ink and watercolor. She now creates “fun perspective” free-hand paintings of local attractions and southern-inspired scenes and flowers as well as for businesses around Savannah, Tybee Island, and Charleston. Illustrated paintings prints and postcards are available at Savannah and Tybee shops and galleries as well as weekend vendor markets. When she is not painting, Tate enjoys taking care of her son, Wallie.
