Artist Statement:
"For as long as I can remember, I've had an obsession with clouds and nature, and most of the time, also had some sort of camera in my hand.
As a child, I became so interested in the beauty of the world, that I studied meteorology as a hobby.
As a teen and young adult, I found every chance I could to sneak off to Charleston, Myrtle Beach and any other spot where the sound of the ocean drowned out the noise of the world.
I've always felt a calling to document and share just how beautiful the world is that surrounds our lives on a daily basis. Now, as a photographer, I'm able to share that love of nature with you.
My latest series of photographs is called "Seascapes" and focuses on the serenity of the ocean at dawn and dusk.
The images are printed directly onto glass, which creates a stunning visual that changes throughout the day, depending on the light surrounding the photo.
I slowed down my camera's shutter speed to create a sense of blur in the water, and then increased the feel of the motion throughout the photo by enhancing the blur of the clouds in the sky and the sand in the foreground.
The effect is a calming, ethereal glimpse of the oneness of the ocean, the sky and you, the observer."
